AKPE / TOGO | Gustav Willeit Photography.
Gustav Willeit was born in Brunico (IT) and grew up in Corvara/AltaBadia/Italy. From 2000 to 2004 he studied in the art school “F+F Schule für Kunst und Mediendesign” in Zurich/Switzerland. From 2005 assistant for various photographers in Zürich. Since 2006 freelance photographer in Italy and Switzerland.
SOME OF GUSTAV WILLEIT’S LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY MAY CONVEY THE IMPRESSION THAT PLANET EARTH WAS ONLY CREATED YESTERDAY: CRUDE, UNTOUCHED MOUNTAIN RANGES, BARREN LAND AND WIDE, CLOUDY SKIES – THE EVER-CHANGING WEATHER AND DIVERSE METEOROLOGICAL PHENOMENA ENVELOPING AND SHAPING THE RANGES AND PEAKS. THE NATURE UP IN THE MOUNTAINS IS OFTEN REFLECTED IN LAKES AND STREAMS, THE AIR SEEMS AN INFINITE HAVEN OF TRANQUILITY, THE ONLY SOUNDS, ONE MIGHT THINK, THE WHISTLING OF THE WINDS. THE OCCASIONAL LICHEN AND SPARSE VEGETATION OF THE HIGH-ALPINE REGIONS ARE ACCENTUATED IN SUBTLE YET INTENSE SHADES OF GREY, WHITE AND BROWN. GUSTAV WILLEIT PRESENTS NATURE IN ITS FULL ARCHAIC BEAUTY AND SOLITUDE.Sandi Paucic
