Kirsty Mitchell journey of processing mother’s sudden death in 2008 is inspirational – she was so focused/inspired/pulled by a vision as what to do and her expression of love has created more love & joy in the world. She is the definition of an Artist. So much love, passion and action into each piece.

“That was when photography engulfed me, becoming an overwhelming passion that I could not stop,” says Mitchell.

“Photography became my only escape when I could no longer talk about how I felt. It became an utter fantasy that blocked out the real world, and a place where I could return to my memories of her, far away from those hospitals walls,” explains Mitchell.

Mitchell has collaborated with FX Media, who helped to shoot a mini series about all of the incredible effort that goes into Kirsty’s work, including a behind-the-scenes clips detailing the preparation for each image, all of which, you can find below.Wonderland has been made the cover story of the award winning ‘Fusion Flowers’ magazine – an important International publication that is subscribed to in over 78 countries world wide.
