JON JAYLO IS AN ARTIST BASED IN NEW YORK CITY.
He is named as “The Enigma” because of his works are masked and laced with a dream-like feel, very inviting, yet when you go inside, there is always a puzzle to be solved. His works are not just depictions of visual aesthetics. They are inspired by dreams, daily occurrences, direct experiences and sometimes the stories of close friends. What captures the viewers attention, is his works that are astounding, contemplative, glimpses into someone else’s psyche. This is the wonder of his art, like any good story, he allows everyone to bring his or her own interpretation to the painting. Jon is great at opening up the viewer’s ‘soul’ so to speak. His works are a research on life itself and the enigma of thought beneath it.
He claims to be influenced by several known artists like Rene Magritte, Paul Delvaux, Gustav Klimt, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dalí, Jean-Michel Basquiat and William Bougereau.
His works have been displayed at Strychnin Gallery Berlin Germany, Kunstart 09 ArtFair Bolzano, MiArt Milan Italy,Primae Noctis Switzerland, Korea, Distinction Gallery, Copro Galleries, Flower Pepper Gallery California, SCOPE Miami beach Florida, LA Artshow 2016 USA,Sothebys & Christies auctions Hongkong & Taiwan, Artesan Gallery Singapore, West Gallery & Artist Space Ayala Museum Philippines.
