“Flatland Series” from Turkish digital artist and photographer Aydin Buyuktas.
Aydin says his true inspiration is taken from the 1884 satirical novella Flatland that depicts a two-dimensional world occupied by geometric figures.His landscape series Flatland with this new collection of collages shot in various locations around the United States including Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California. Each image requires around 18-20 aerial drone shots which are then stitched together digitally to form sweeping landscapes that curl upward without a visible horizon.
Aydin Buyuktas was born in Ankara. After moving to Istanbul in 2000’s, he improved himself in the fields of visual effect, 3D, animation and video. He started to give priority to freelance works after his character, which was designed by him in the form of 3D in 2008, gained international popularity.
