My passion is defined by the shape of lines and colours, whose vibrancy and intensity reflect life itself. For me, art is stability— emotional stability— which comes with self-discovery, and the desire to progress and evolve more.
I am particularly interested in the stylisations of figures. As I create, what fascinates me the most is the energy I receive as I explore and experiment with the subtlety of the line. A simple gesture, a brushstroke, the thinning or thickening of lines in a composition, can completely change the emotion and expression of the figure. I feel my own emotions flowing onto the canvas, changing and modulating as they do in real life. Going further into the depths of emotion, I explore a full range of aesthetics to represent human thoughts and feelings. I am fascinated by the interplay of unusual dimensions and shapes to represent expressions, bodies, stances, and nature. I strive to create art that intrigues the viewer, that creates rhythm and movement, and that showcases gestures that convey a message. I want viewers to see the expressions I have created emerging from the canvas. Through modulation and deformation of classic figures such as nudes, I impart new meaning and figuration onto them. Beyond the surface, I seek to instill in my work a spiritual beauty which I very often look for and see in the people around me. This is my inspiration.
