Frank’s favorite place is in the studio working on his art or being on an outdoors adventure.
The constant promise of a blank canvas with perpetual possibilities keeps luring him back to labouring on new pieces while learning, experimenting and advancing his craft.
Whilst he never stopped painting and drawing from his earliest years, his two-decade long career in the advertising industryhas hibernated the dream of painting full time which of late became a reality.
Frank is an artist who creates abstract artwork through a process of building up and breaking down imagery, ultimately reconstructing it into representational images with elements of abstraction.
He employs traditional materials such as charcoal and ink on paper, as well as oil paints on canvas, to capture light’s elusive quality of transforming figures and landscapes within moments. Through his work, he pursues snippets of the narrative of life as he experiences it.
By transporting the ambiance of his surroundings and capturing it on canvas and paper, Frank takes an interval of time and interprets what it is like to be conscious in his surroundings at that moment.
