For Jason Jacques Gallery , Paris, Finnish artist Kim Simonsson reimagined his famed Moss People as five-meter-tall monumental Moss Giants . In Finnish folklore, Moss people are mythological wanderers from the Nordic forests, weaving a narrative that oscillates between the real world and the supernatural.
This year’s Best Gallery award was tied between Sarah Myerscough Gallery, London, and Magen H Gallery, New York. Rademakers Gallery presents Quelle Fête by Dutch art collective Rotganzen : a playful representation of past glory and a melancholic reminder of the glamour nights in clubs like Studio 54, Paradise Garage, and The Roxy. Rotganzen has also created a series of sculptural pieces honoring American design, manufacturing, industry, and popular sports and food.
London-based Sarah Myerscough Gallery presents museum-quality functional design and art objects championing innovative, sustainable, and restorative design practices. Angela Damman hand-crafted raw henequén fibre to create a plush chandelier, while Christopher Kurtz’s hand-carved Tulipwood cabinet explores linenfold forms hand-crafted from Tulipwood.

Aqua Creations , Englewood, NJ, launches a range of one-of-a-kind lights designed specifically for Design Miami/. The pieces draw inspiration from the shapes of freshwater lakes, with mirrored polished metal evoking the presence of water. The gallery also unveils a limited edition of the iconic Morning Glory Floor Lamp. The design is made with unique, raw silk crafted particularly for this collection.
New York City-based Tuleste Factory presents an exploration of the color blue across a spectrum of saturation, opacities, and textures. On show are tables, side tables, shelves, seats, and a large wall sculpture. Together, they unveil the spirituality behind the hue’s vast character and address the significant impact the color has had on art and design.
