This piece focuses on the duality of life & death. The nest not only signifies birth but also protection or better yet the illusion of safety against the vast blackness that surrounds us all. The worms continue the duality theme: standing for both decay & rebirth, helping to transform “dead” materials into life giving earth. “I’ve been very vocal about how much I like 16; I’ve been following them since their Bacteria Sour days. There’s not that many bands, that make me clench my fists & want to break things: 16 sure does.” -MVH Stock: Fine Line, Coarse Watercolor, 315 GSM, 3 sizes available:
This piece is part of a diptych*, reflecting on the theme of the previous album “Dreamsquasher” constructing a continuity & natural progress between both albums. The art is based on the concept of the “zombie-fungus” Cordyceps. In this piece the mushrooms have come to fruition & release their spores in “dust” like smoke. Referring to the title & fully showing the duality of life/death. *for the companion piece go down my feed Stock: Fine Line, Coarse Watercolor, 315 GSM, 3 sizes available: S: 7.204″ X 12″ M: 13.972″ X 24″ L: 20.74″ X 36″ Thank you Jacob @jbannon & everyone at Deathwish Inc.
