“Most viewers like pictures to mean something, to tell a little story. Not me. The only thing I’m interested in is paint and what can be done with paint. Working with this figure arrangement, it occurred to me to play a little game with the primary colors, blue, red and yellow. It’s not readily apparent in this image, but the skin of the figure on the left is influenced by blue, the figure in the middle by red, and the figure on the right by gold tones”.
