The Avant-Garde Vision of Reza Saleh

California-based, Iranian-American artist Reza Saleh bridges the gap between antiquity and the avant-garde. By weaving the rich, historic threads of ancient global cultures into contemporary abstract and cubist forms, his work proves that timeless human experiences never truly fade.

Reza reinterprets ancient global art through a modern, avant-garde lens. Merging abstract sensibilities with the geometric complexity of Cubism.

More than just visual experimentation, Saleh’s work is an open invitation to a cultural dialogue, challenging conventional boundaries while reflecting on identity, family, and nationality.

Inspired by the structural deconstruction of Cubism, Reza analyzes, breaks apart, and reassembles his subjects to offer viewers a multitude of perspectives at once. His multi-layered approach uses an amalgamation of diverse materials and methods to challenge traditional artistic boundaries. Ultimately, his practice serves as a profound cultural dialogue—inviting us to reflect on personal identity, family, and community through a beautifully modernized lens.

Reza holds a certification in Journalistic Graphics (1996) from the Resaneha Media Training Institution in Tehran, Iran.
